Foursquare and Swarm should be among the mildly popular applications for Windows Phone devices. They have just been updated with several new features and improvements, which are supposed to enhance user experience.

Let’s start with the beta version of Foursquare, which has just received more translations, new command bar icons and lots of UI polish and bug fixes.

But that is not all. According to developers, the add venue finally works and users will now be able to change their location while doing a search instead of having to go to a new page.

You can now download Foursquare beta for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.

Moving on to Swarm, developers confirm they have added a setting to control the distance units (Auto/Imperial/Metric) and there is also a new tweak that allows users to get straight to the sticker leaderboards.

Some bugs have been addressed as well, so users shouldn’t experience any crashes when checking in anymore. The issue with the keyboard that covered text entries when editing your profile issue has been fixed as well.

Obviously, lots of other bug fixes and stability improvements in poor network coverage conditions have also been included in the update.

You now download Swarm for Windows Phone 1.2.2.19 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application has been confirmed to work on devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
