The highly acclaimed Flipboard application for Android devices has been finally updated to support tablets with 7-inch or larger screen size.

Starting with this version of Flipboard, those who own an Android tablet and wish to download the application will automatically get the tablet-optimized edition after updating.

According to developers, the new version of Flipboard has four page tiles, which allows users to quickly flip through more content.

More importantly, users will now be able to watch YouTube videos within the application instead of being directed to a website.

The application allows users to connect up to 12 social networks and streamline their reading and activities like commenting, liking and sharing.

Flipboard 1.9.16 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
