It brings integration with Google Now search widget

Mozilla has just announced a new version of Firefox for Android devices is now available for download. Version 18 has just arrived on Google Play Store and promises lots of improvements and bug fixes.

According to Mozilla, the JavaScript performance is much faster via IonMonkey compiler. Moreover, the browser has been integrated with Google Now search widget and Safe Browsing feature is enabled.

Developers also added support for loading new fonts delivered with Firefox. It is also worth mentioning that Mozilla is now offering support for new DOM property window.devicePixelRatio.

Last but not least, the following fixes have been included in this update:

- FIXED: Disable insecure content loading on HTTPS pages; - FIXED: Opt-in for search suggestions when entering text into the Awesome Bar; - FIXED: Android 4.2: TalkBack announces that a page finished loading only after one touches the display.

Firefox 18.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up. Check it out here.
