Mozilla is currently hard at work with applying various touches to its Firefox for Android Beta release before making it available for download as a final flavor.

A new version of the app has been released in this regard, namely Firefox for Android 17 Beta 4, which brings along a series of fixes, though it does not manage to resolve all the known issues with the browser.

With Firefox for Android 17, Mozilla has included Jelly Bean support for Explore by Touch to its browser, while also adding initial web app support, as well as hardware and software decoder support for h.264 video on devices running under Android 4.0 and 4.1.

Those who would like to learn more on the beta release of Firefox for Android should head over to Mozilla’s website for that.

The application can be found on Softpedia via this link.
