Owners of Android devices who are also using Feedly on their smartphones can now download a new beta version of the application, with a brand new feature packed inside, namely Speed Reading.

Basically, the new release is meant to enable users to easily transition from an article to another with simple tap gesture, the company announced.

At the same time, the updated software brings along a variety of bug fixes, resolving a rendering problem on Android 4.1, along with a back button issue, login expiration, and other bugs.

Unfortunately, the update is available for download only for the members of the Feedly beta community (they can grab it from this page in the Google Play Store), though the final release might be pushed to all users out there in the not too distant future.

The latest stable release of the application (namely version 17.2) is available on Softpedia as well. You can download Feedly for Android for free on any Android 2.2 and up device.
