Owners of Windows Phone devices might soon be able to take advantage of some appealing new features in the Facebook app for their platform of choice, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

As WMPoweruser notes, one user received assurance from Nokia’s CEO himself that the mobile Facebook client for Lumia devices would receive enhancements, so as to be able to provide users with a much better experience than the one available at the moment.

The application, which is being developed by Microsoft themselves, still lacks some functionality that the Android and iOS flavors are already enjoying, such as a faulty Facebook chat, among others.

Of course, a response from Nokia’s CEO might weigh as much as one coming from Microsoft, even if it reads “this is definitely being worked on.” However, given the tight relation between the two companies, we might see improvements being delivered to the app soon.
