Facebook for Windows Phone is not the best client for one of the most popular social network, but Microsoft is trying to bring it on par with the Android and iOS versions.

The latest update for the application is aimed at Windows Phone 8, or at least that’s what developers claim.

According to Microsoft, Windows Phone 8 users should notice a boost in performance thanks to several improvements included in this update.

In addition, developers added support for multiple resolutions and tile size. Other changes have been included in this update as well, but no additional details have been provided yet.

Facebook 4.2.1.0 is now available as a free download via Windows Phone Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and up. Check it out here.
