14 DAY TRIAL // Facebook application for legacy BlackBerry devices is not among the best, on the contrary. The application is developed in-house by the Canadian company, which is probably one of the reasons it doesn’t offer similar user experience as on the other platforms.
Anyway, at least BlackBerry is trying hard to improve Facebook for its proprietary mobile platform via updates. The newest update coming for Facebook for BlackBerry brings a few new features and tweaks, but no bug fixes or performance improvements (or these haven’t been mentioned).
The most important change seems to be the fact that users will now be able to receive and view stickers sent to them in chats and messages. However, sending of Stickers is not supported yet, BlackBerry mentions.
With the new version of Facebook, BlackBerry users will be able to take advantage of inline tagging of friends in status posts or comments. Last but not least, a quicker way to delete Status posts on their own timeline has been included as well.
You can now download Facebook for Blackberry 4.3 for free via BlackBerry World. Keep in mind that this version of the application is only compatible with devices powered by BlackBerry 5.0 OS and up.
