The official Facebook application for Android devices has just been updated with new features and improvements which are meant to enhance the overall performance and stability.

Shortly after announcing Facebook users will be able to send voice messages and make calls within the application, developers updated the Android and iOS versions with the new features.

The Android version has just received a small but important update that allows users to open and view photos faster, as well as share their friends' stories to timelines, pages and groups. More importantly, Facebook users will now be able to send voice messages while on the move.

Facebook 2.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
