An updated flavor of the official Facebook mobile client is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices out there, providing them with some new capabilities for posting while on the go.

Following the update to the new app iteration, users will be able to post even when offline, the release notes attached to the software unveil.

What this means is that, while you will be able to access your Facebook account in order to post something new when no Internet connection is available, the new status/message will actually go online only when the app manages to connect to the web.

“Create posts even when your connection is weak or you’re in airplane mode, and they’ll be shared once your connection gets strong enough,” the release notes for the application unveil.

Additionally, the new software release arrives on devices with a variety of improvements to its reliability, while also being able to provide users with better performance capabilities than before.

You will find the new application iteration available for download through the official Google Play store today. It is compatible with all devices running under Android 2.2 or newer platform releases, though some of its capabilities might be available only on more recent devices.
