Facebook really wants to enter the smartphone business, many rumors claim. However, details on the company’s upcoming devices have been scarce, to say the least.

According to the latest hearsay, the first Facebook phone is codenamed HTC Myst (or Opera) and is likely to go on sale in the United States initially.

Well, it looks like some of the rumors on the Facebook phone were correct, as Engadget reports that a certain HTC Myst has just been approved by FCC (Federal Communications Commission).

The device is fully compatible with AT&T’s LTE frequencies, which suggest that it will be exclusive to this carrier. Aside from the fact that it features dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, nothing else has been unveiled.

Still, the latest hearsay claims that the Facebook phone will be equipped with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display.
