The application doesn’t feature a dedicated button though

Facebook Messenger has just received a new update that brings a long-time user requested feature that might prove essential for Facebook addicts, namely the possibility to thumb down messages.

For the time being, only Facebook Messenger is receiving this option, but not in the form of a dedicated “Dislike” button. Instead, Facebook released a sticker package that contains more emoji for Facebook Messenger.

Among them, there’s also a thumb-down sticker that allows users to dislike their friends’ opinions. The “dislike” sticker is part of the “Likes” sticker pack that is available as a free download within Facebook Messenger.

No other changes have been added to the application, but stay tuned for more upcoming updates of Facebook Messenger for Android.

You can now download Facebook Messenger for Android 3.1.2 for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
