An updated flavor of the Facebook application is now available for download for the owners of BlackBerry 10 devices out there, namely version 10.4.

The new release arrives on devices with a variety of enhancements packed inside, providing users with the possibility to stay in touch with their friends and family easier than before.

According to the release notes published on BlackBerry’s official blog, the new software iteration will offer Newsfeed Sorting, which will enable users to easily sort their newsfeed stories by “Most Recent” or “Top Stories.”

At the same time, the update comes with support for Emoji (Emoticons), so that owners of BlackBerry devices can use their favorite Emoticons (Smiley faces and others) in conversations.

There is also a Screen Reader feature available in the new software release, with photo tag support for photo carousel, as well as a map of the locations that users are checking in from.

The updated Facebook for BlackBerry 10 app can be downloaded through the official BlackBerry World portal, though it might not appear as available in all markets out there.

In fact, the company notes that it might take up to 24 hours before the software update emerges in all countries. If it’s not there yet, simply check for it later.
