An updated version of the Evernote application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, though only for those who are willing to try the beta flavor of the software.

The new beta release of the app offers support for handwriting notes, making it much easier for users to write down important stuff in their lives.

The updated Evernote for Android beta comes with a pen button on the note editor, allowing users to insert handwriting in a note. They can also choose width and colors, along with erase, cut, and undo / redo options.

Another change in the new build is note link, which allows users to create a hyperlink to a note through taping a note in the list and selecting “copy note link.”

To get the new app version, you’ll need to join this Google+ group (though it might take a while before you’re accepted, Android Police notes), then head to the Google Play store to download it.
