Mobile phone maker Motorola is reportedly getting ready for the launch of a new Android-based smartphone, one that would land on shelves with a low price tag attached, namely the Motorola DVX.

The handset is said to be a cheaper flavor of the Moto X, designed specifically for emerging markets, featuring a flatter design and bringing along interchangeable backplates.

The smartphone is rumored to arrive on shelves at Republic Wireless as soon as the next month with design elements similar to those of Moto X, as PhoneArena reports.

However, the upcoming device won’t bring along the same level of personalization as Moto X, though leaked photos available courtesy of Weibo show four colors for the aforementioned backplates.

Further details on what the device will sport in terms of hardware haven’t been provided as of now, but more should emerge soon, so stay tuned.
