The handset is expected to hit shelves in the first week of July

Users in India interested in the purchase of a new dual-SIM handset from Nokia can now pre-order the company’s Asha 501 smartphone, which is available for reservations at only Rs. 5,199 ($88 / €67), in Bright Red, Cyan, Yellow, White and Black.

Featuring a 3.0-inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) touchscreen, the handset can be seen listed in Nokia’s official online store, featuring the latest Nokia Asha software, with the Swipe UI loaded on top.

The mobile phone also packs a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, WiFi connectivity, 2G capabilities, Bluetooth, and FM Radio.

Furthermore, it sports 128 MB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage (4GB included), and a 1200 mAh battery.

As fonearena notes, Nokia Asha 501 is also listed on this page on Flipkart, and is expected to land on shelves in early July.
