The smartphone packs a 4-inch screen, 5-megapixel photo snapper

Users in India can now purchase a new HTC smartphone running under Google’s Android operating system, none other than the HTC Desire U, which features dual-SIM capabilities.

The new smartphone is currently listed on this page on Flipkart with a price-tag of INR 13,499 ($238 / €182) attached to it, but also benefiting from a 5% promotional discount (available for a limited time at the retailer, AndroidOS notes).

The mobile phone packs a 4-inch Super LCD touchscreen display, a 1 GHz processor inside, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB of internal memory, and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

The specs list of the device also includes a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and video recording capabilities, a 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery inside, and Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform loaded on top.
