It looks like Symbian platform hasn’t been forgotten by the folks who created the popular WhatsApp Messenger application.

Although the application costs 0.99 USD/year, WhatsApp Messenger is probably the most downloaded cross-platform instant messaging software for mobile devices.

Unfortunately, WhatsApp Messenger for Symbian does not have an autoupdate feature, so users might not learn about the release of a new version until they manually check for it.

Once again, developers have silently launched a new version of WhatsApp for Symbian. Unlike Android and iOS iterations which both are released with their full changelogs attached to it, the Symbian version does not have one.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.8.19 for Symbian is now available for download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible most devices running Symbian S60 3rd/5th Edition, Symbian^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle. Check it out here.
