We reported yesterday on the latest update for WhatsApp Messenger for Android devices and now it appears that there’s another update rolling out via Google Play.

The previous update was only available via developer’s site, but this time WhatsApp decided to upload it to Google Play and distribute it to all Android users.

Unfortunately, this is not a major update, so don’t expect any new features or important improvements. Instead, developers confirmed they have included a handful of bug and crash fixes affecting some Android devices.

No additional details on the included fixes have been disclosed yet, but we can safely assume there will be more updates in the coming days so stay tuned.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.9.4750 is now available as a free download and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
