The latest version comes with Romanian and Bulgarian translations

There’s a new version of WhatsApp for Android up for download on Google Play Store. The application has been updated with support for more languages and bug fixes.

Android users in Romania and Bulgaria will be happy to know that the latest version of WhatsApp Messenger for Android features Romanian and Bulgarian translations.

Furthermore, the messenger app has numerous improvements to phone number verification, as well as many bug and crash fixes.

Last but not least, developers claim they have updated the broadcast functionality, but no other details are offered.

The new WhatsApp Messenger 2.8.8968 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
