WhatsApp, creators of the most popular instant messaging application for mobile phones, have just released a new version of their WhatsApp Messenger for Android devices.

This would be the third update that gets deployed in under a week. However, only one of these updates has been officially pushed to Google Play Store, while the other two are only available for download via dev’s website.

The most probable reason is the fact that these updates do not include important changes. Even so, those who wish to be up to date with the latest version of WhatsApp Messenger for Android should know that the update features small improvements and a few bug fixes.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.11.1 is now available as a free download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
