A new flavor of the WhatsApp Messenger application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices via the Google Play Store, namely version 2.11.23.

The upgrade comes with a bug fix for the voice message recording feature on Samsung smartphones, the release notes unveil. However, WhatsApp also notes that the update will require users to restart the handset to solve the issue.

For those out of the loop, we should note that WhatsApp announced the availability of voice messaging capabilities for its Android app earlier this week, and that it brought it to other platforms as well.

Users might also want to know that a newer build of the WhatsApp Messenger for Android was made available for download through the company’s website, namely version 2.11.24, though it’s unlikely that it will make it to the Google Play Store, as the 2.11.23 iteration did.
