UCWeb, the team behind one of the most popular mobile browsers – UC Browser, has just released a new version of their Android application.

UC Browser 8.6.1 has just been published on Google Play Store, but the actual .apk file was released in late January. It appears that the company was not able to do this earlier due to the Lunar New Year in China.

Nevertheless, Android users will now be happy to know that they can download the latest version of UC Browser directly from Google Play store.

For the time being, it’s unclear if the version published on Google Play Store is the same as the .apk released less than a month ago.

UC Browser 8.6.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
