An updated flavor of the MX Player application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 1.7.24.

The new app iteration arrives on devices with a nice range of enhancements packed inside, including optional Zoom and/or Pan support, and a new ‘Clear font cache’ function on the general settings, along with better CPU type detection.

Moreover, the updated application comes with a language option under the general settings (users will be able to change interface language independent of system language).

The new MX Player version also sports “an option for ignoring media button input from external devices such as headsets, Bluetooth devices, etc.”

Fixes are also available inside the new app iteration, including one for ignoring saved subtitle bottom padding, one for a PGS subtitle timing issue, and another for broken playback of some .wmv files.
