A new flavor of the Instagram application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 4.1.2, with some appealing new features packed inside.

One of the most important enhancements in the new release is the option to upload videos from the phone’s media library and share them to Instagram regardless of when they were captured.

“Once you select the video clip you’d like to import, you can trim it down to the exact part you like best. We’ve also made it so that you can choose how you square-crop your clip so you can keep the action front and center,” Instagram explains.

Additionally, the updated app brings support for Video on Instagram to devices running under Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, so that more users could take advantage of it.
