The new application release packs support for rental books

An updated flavor of the Google Play Books is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 2.9.21.

The new app release arrives with support for highlighting and note-taking in scanned pages books, while also offering a variety of stability and performance improvements.

Furthermore, the new software version features support for rental books and for copying selected text if copyright allows it. A better user interface design of the scrubber and recommendation cards is also available for Android devices.

Available for all Android 2.0 or later smartphones and tablet PCs, the Google Play Books app provides users with access to a multitude of titles on the go, as well as with free books.
