Mozilla has just released a new version of Firefox for Android devices, which comes as a surprise, since the last major update arrived on Google Play less than two weeks ago.
However, this is not a major update that brings new features and improvements; instead, it fixes some issues that affected older Android devices.
According to Mozilla, the latest update for the stable version of Firefox fixes ANR hangs and DB-lock related crashes on older devices.
This must have been a critical issue if Mozilla decided to address it in a minor update and not wait until a major release.
Firefox 20.0.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up. Check it out here.
