A new flavor of the popular ES File Explorer is now available for download for devices powered by Google’s Android operating system.

Released today as version 1.6.2.2, the new app iteration brings along some new features, including the possibility to send .apk files using the Bluetooth connectivity of the device.

At the same time, the new application variant brings along updated Dropbox, Sugarsync APIs, as well as new settings, namely “picture directory” and “hide media files.”

For those out of the loop, we should note that ES Explorer has been released both as a file manager and as an app manager, so that users could find content on their mobile devices easier than before.

The app also performs as a cloud storage client (Dropbox, Google Drive, SkyDrive, Box.net, Sugarsync, Yandex, Amazon S3), and as a task killer.
