An updated flavor of the Chrome browser is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices, namely version 33.0.1750.166.

The new application iteration was pushed out with a series of bug fixes packed inside, after security researchers attending CanSecWest 2014 pointed them out, Jason Kersey from the Google Chrome team said in a post on the company’s official blog.

Among them, we can count a patch for memory corruption in V8, which Google notes to have been discovered by GeoHot and Anonymous.

Furthermore, the mobile application was found to pack an issue with memory corruption in GPU command buffer, and this has been resolved as well. The bug was pointed out by Pinkie Pie.

There is also a patch for a use-after-free in bindings issue, which was discovered by VUPEN, Google explains.

Those who would like to have a look at more extended release notes for the new application flavor should head over to the SVN revision log. The same as before, Google encourages people to find and report any issues in Chrome for Android, so that they can be addressed.

You can download Chrome 33.0.1750.166 for Android from Softpedia today. The mobile browser is compatible with all devices running under Android 4.0 or newer platform versions.
