Rovio’s original Angry Birds was released on Google Play Store, formerly known as Android Market, exactly three years ago.

Today, creators of the amazingly popular game and owners of the franchise have just announced that a new version of Angry Birds is now available for download.

Check out the update’s description coming from Rovio: “Happy Birdday! Can you believe that Angry Birds is turning three? We sure can't! Celebrate with 30 NEW LEVELS, birdday cake, and the bubbliest bird ever -- Pink Bird! But watch out for the cake -- it's not a lie, but it packs a BIG punch!”

The latest update adds 15 new “Birdday Party” levels with “explosively” delicious cakes, as well as 15 new Bad Piggies-themed levels.

Angry Birds 3.0.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
