Wireless carrier Deutsche Telekom has reportedly confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone will be upgraded to the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system version.

Previous rumors suggested that Samsung was considering skipping the Android 4.2.2 OS update for this device and for the Galaxy Note II, so as to increment them to 4.3 directly, yet no official confirmation on the matter has emerged until now.

However, a recent article on allaboutsamsung.de claims that said carrier has already unveiled plans to make the Android 4.3 update available for its Galaxy S III users, but hasn’t mentioned the availability of Android 4.2.2 for it.

As SamMobile notes, no specific release date for the update has been provided as of now. However, Samsung has yet to provide exact details on its Android 4.3 plans, and such info should be announced at a later time.
