The phone might soon see a successor, rumor has it

Mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless is currently offering the DROID DNA by HTC smartphone at only $49.99 (€38.27) with the signing of a two-year contract.

This is part of a limited time offer, as can be seen on this page on the company’s website.

Made available for purchase last year, the handset is reportedly nearing its end at Verizon, given that retailers won’t receive new stock when they deplete existing one, and that the carrier is trying to clear up inventories as well, via price cuts, droid-life notes.

The new promotion available for DROID DNA suggests that a successor might arrive on shelves soon, supposedly the long rumored HTC One variant for Verizon, yet it is also possible that the carrier kicked off the deal as part of its July 4 celebrations.
