Software update version 5.9.902 for DROID BIONIC leaked a few weeks ago, but Motorola has yet to announce the availability of the update.

The handset maker even had a soak test prepared about a week ago. It appears that the soak test has been successfully completed and DROID BIONIC owners will finally receive the major update that emerged back in January.

In this regard, Verizon Wireless already published the official changelog for software update 5.9.902.XT875.Verizon.en.US., so we can safely assume that the carrier will start pushing the update within the next few days.

Among the most important changes included with this update, DROID BIONIC owners will notice the added support for Bluetooth Personal Area Networks (PAN), improvements in Wi-Fi Mobile Hotspot download performance, as well as data connectivity and stability enhancements.
