Owners of Android-based smartphones out there interested in getting a taste of the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out there can now download CyanogenMod 11 M3 builds that will allow them to do just that.

The team of developers behind the most popular custom Android-based platform out there has announced the availability of the software for a nice range of high-end phones, such as the Nexus 5, Galaxy S4, and LG G2.

As AndroidPolice notes, the M builds are not final releases of the software, but they are more stable than the nightly ones, and should prove a great option for many users out there.

To grab the ROMs, simply head over to the official CyanogenMod website. They are available for older smartphones too, including the Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Galaxy S III, Galaxy S II, and many other devices as well.

However, keep in mind that these are not official releases, and that they will require rooting your phone, which will void warranty.
