The team over at CyanogenMod, which develops some of the most popular third-party ROMs for Android devices, has already started to push out CM10.1 builds.

The team has announced a while ago plans to launch a CyanogenMod 10.1 version of their software based on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, and the first ROMs are now available for Nexus handsets.

Owners of Nexus 4 mako can already download nightly builds of the software, while those who use a Nexus 10 manta device should receive access to the software in the near future.

For the rest of the supported devices, only the CyanogenMod 10 builds are available for download, based on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system release.

Nexus 4 users who would like to install the custom ROMs should head over to this page. Details on how to root the smartphone are available in this article.
