The first official CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly builds are now available for download for the Sprint and Verizon flavors of Samsung’s Galaxy Note II smartphone.

Courtesy of these builds, users can enjoy the latest flavor of Google’s Android operating system on their device, namely the 4.2.1 Jelly Bean platform, all without the usual set of apps and customizations that carriers and Samsung load on handsets, as Android Police notes.

However, they should keep in mind that this is unofficial software for the smartphone, and that installing it requires rooting the device. This means that the warranty will be voided.

Furthermore, users should also take into consideration the fact that these CM 10.1 builds for Galaxy Note II are nightlies, which means that they might suffer from various bugs.

To grab the latest CM builds for Sprint and Verizon Galaxy Note II, head over to the CyanogenMod download website, here and here.
