Various values were displayed incorrectly in the previous release

Only a few days after the arrival of CyanogenMod 10.1.0 RC3, a new flavor of the custom Android software was made available for download, in an attempt to address a series of issues that were spotted in the previous release.

According to the CyanogenMod team, the software had been tested on some devices, and it worked great on those, but issues emerged on other handsets, and the new release should have resolved them.

“For all others, it just returns wrong values (exponents, in particular, return much bigger values than they should). This is why a lot of you started seeing mobile data accounting in the multi-gigabyte range overnight, wrong speeds in animations, and generally random behavior,” the team says in a blog post.

They also explain that the issues did not, in fact, affect the data usage of affected smartphones, and that the wrong calculations were only cosmetic.
