There’s a small chance that HTC’s decision might change

Bad news for Rogers customers that own the HTC One X, as the smartphone seems to have been left out from any major software update beyond Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The information has just been confirmed by HTC’s Executive Director, Product Management, Mohammed Versi, who said that his company would not offer any other major software upgrades for the Rogers HTC One X.

“There are no plans to upgrade Rogers One X beyond 4.1. If plans changes, we will advise.”

Although his tweet does suggest that things might change in the future, there’s little chance that HTC One X owners who purchase their smartphones via Rogers will ever get any important Android upgrade soon.

Unfortunately, Versi did not offer any details on why his company wouldn’t deliver any future upgrades for Rogers HTC One X and we won’t speculate either. We will update the news once HTC changes its plans.
