Launched in Google Play, formerly known as Android Market, back in February, Chrome for Android beta has just been updated with new features and bug fixes.

According to Google, the mobile browser now supports 31 more languages, as well as in all countries where Google Play is available.

In addition, users can now browse the desktop version of a website, in case they do not want to view the mobile version. With this update, users will also be able to add bookmarks as shortcuts on home screens, so they can have quick access to their favorite sites.

Last but not least, users can take advantage of Chrome with the system proxy configured in Android settings. The latest version of the update also allows users to choose which apps to handle links opened in Chrome.

Chrome Beta is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up.
