Meizu’s latest Blue Charm smartphone made it into the wild not so long ago, as an iPhone 5c-reminiscent device aimed at the budget-conscious youth consumer-base.

The handset takes advantage of a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) with 403ppi and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7GHz.

The device arrives with a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and 5P lenses which bundles a Samsung sensor. The camera takes advantage of f/2.2 aperture.

Up front, we have a 5MP secondary camera with OmniVision 5670 sensor, 4P lenses, f/2.0 aperture and 69-degree wide viewing angle.

All these specs are being offered by Meizu with a $160 / €130 price tag (for the 16GB version of the device).

Well, if you’re curious to see how this budget smartphone performs in the photography department, you can check out the first photo samples taken with the handset (via Mobile Review).

Check out the images in the gallery below. As you can see, the 13MP camera managed to snap pics revealing a great deal of detail. Even in low lighting, the images seem to look quite decent, albeit being grainy at times.

Anyway, it’s not bad for a budget smartphone such as this. A bunch of pictures shot in natural lightning would have been nice, though.
