Samsung’s ChatON for Android devices is one of the most downloaded applications on Google Play Store, but it’s definitely not among the best.

Although the application has more than 10 million downloads, there are not so many Android fans using ChatON due to its lack of useful features.

Anyway, it looks like Samsung is trying to fix that by delivering updates containing enhancements and tweaks meant improve the application further.

The latest update comes with performance improvements and some bug fixes, but no new features. According to Samsung, the following issues have been addressed:

- On token expiration of the device with Samsung account SSO support, network error occurs on ChatON registration or ChatON upgrade with v2.0.5; - ChatON account disappears in Account and Sync (Setting).

ChatOn 2.1.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
