Rumors on the next Windows Phone handset to be released by Huawei emerged back in September 2013, but the smartphone has yet to be officially introduced by the Chinese company.

Well, it looks like Windows Phone fans looking for a cheap smartphone won’t have to wait too long for Huawei’s affordable Ascend W3.

Phonearena reports that Chinese blog site ZOL claims that Huawei could launch the Ascend W3 as early as next week. The smartphone would then be showcased at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014 trade fair and is likely to go on sale a few months later.

Huawei Ascend W3 is rumored to pack a 4.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display and an 8-megpaixel rear-facing camera. The phone is expected to ship with Windows Phone 8 GDR3 onboard and LTE support. Stay tuned for more updates on this one.
