Aside from the slimmest Android smartphone on the market, the One Touch Idol Ultra, Alcatel also unveiled a mid-range handset at Consumer Electronics Show 2013 (CES), the One Touch Idol.

The smartphone is aimed at the US market and will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box. Unfortunately, there are no details on the phone’s exact release date and pricing options.

Anyway, according to Alcatel, the One Touch Idol is equipped with 512MB of RAM, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, the same CPU that powered the One Touch Idol Ultra.

The handset maker also confirmed that the smartphone sports a more than decent 4.7-inch IPS display, as well as an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls.

At 110g (3.88 oz.) weight, the One Touch Idol is the lightest Android smartphone in its category, Alcatel claims. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
