Owners of devices running under Google’s Android operating system can now enjoy a new flavor of the popular Box for Android application.

Pushed to handsets as version 2.0.0, the new app flavor now provides users with the possibility to preview documents right in the application, so that they can have a glimpse at what’s inside even without opening them.

Furthermore, the app enables users to download and save entire folders for offline access, storing them in encrypted cache.

The new app release also comes with a new transfer manager, Box notes. The software now handles shared link URLs, and also comes with viewable and editable file and folder descriptions.

The latest version of the app, namely Box for Android 2.0.0, can be found on Softpedia as well, on this page.
