Some features work, but most of them don’t at the moment

Boot2Gecko, Mozilla’s mobile operating system set to hit the market as the Firefox OS, has been recently loaded on Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

Somehow useful ports of the platform were unveiled for the GSM flavor of the device, as well as for the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon, but they are not working on Sprint’s flavor of the phone.

However, it seems that the smartphone cannot accommodate the OS as it should, mainly due to the fact that it lacks physical buttons.

Touchscreen input, ADB, Wi-Fi, the lockscreen, the homescreen and the Firefox browser are said to be working at the moment, but everything else is either unusable or provides poor performance.

Although it is not yet ready for everyday use, the port could still appear as an interesting experiment for those willing to give it a try. You can find specific info on it on XDA-Developers.
