Good news for Boost Mobile customers who still own the BlackBerry Curve 9310. Research In Motion has just announced the immediate availability of the long-awaited BlackBerry 7.1 OS upgrade for the Curve 9310.

The update is now available for download via RIM’s support site and can be installed through BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Make sure you have the latest version of the software prior to installing the update; otherwise, you may not be able to upgrade the smartphone.

OS 7.1.0.477 software update is about 205MB in size and brings many new features and enhancements, which are meant to improve user’s overall experience.

Once you update the Curve 9310, you’ll be able to use Wi-Fi hotspot and BlackBerry Tag with NFC sharing. Facebook, Twitter, SMS & MMS Messaging, BlackBerry Music, Camera have been all improved. Check it out here.
