Made officially available for purchase in the UK on January 31, 2013, the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is said to have seen high demand so far, both at retailers and wireless carriers.

A recent report from Jefferies & Co. suggests that the handset has seen solid demand in the United Arab Emirates and Canada as well, where it was made available for pre-order a while ago.

In the UK, for example, the White flavor of BlackBerry’s new device has already started to show stock issues, though the Black version is still widely available, AllThingsD reports.

“We believe Carphone Warehouse is seeing widespread sell-outs, while O2, Vodafone, Orange and EE are seeing robust demand. We estimate sell-in to be at least several hundred thousand units,” Jefferies analyst Peter Misek reportedly stated.

The smartphone is expected to register high demand in the United States as well, where it will arrive in March.
