BlackBerry’s Thorsten Heins said a few days ago that he was sorry that BlackBerry fans in the United States would have to wait until next month in order to purchase the company’s Z10 smartphone.

According to him, it’s the carriers that decide when the new BlackBerry 10 devices are being launched and that it’s not BlackBerry’s fault.

Heins told Associated Press that the company’s BlackBerry Z10 handset would be available in the US in March from multiple carriers, including Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T.

He also confirmed that the second device powered by BlackBerry 10, the Q10, would arrive in the United States eight to ten weeks after the Z10’s release in the country.

This means that the BlackBerry Q10 is expected to be launched in the US sometime in mid-May or early June, if nothing goes wrong.

On the other hand, Europeans will get the Q10 in April, so US customers will have to wait at least one more month to be able to purchase one.
