, one of the most expensive smartphones that Research In Motion has launched, is now ready to hit shelves in China, the company announced today in Beijing.

The mobile phone is expected to become available for purchase in the country in early December with a price tag of RMB $18,888 (around $3,000 / €2,300) attached to it.

The smartphone comes with a customized QWERTY keyboard, as well as with a customized user interface, courtesy of Porsche Design.

The specs list of the smartphone includes a 1.2GHz Snapdragon MSM8655 dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, and a 2.8-inch screen capable of delivering a 640 x 840 pixel resolution.

The mobile phone also comes with a 5-megapxel photo snapper on the back, as well as with RIM’s BlackBerry OS 7.1 loaded on it.
