With less than a week left until Research In Motion’s big announcement, Canadian carrier Bell has just issued the EOL (end of life) notice for BlackBerry PlayBook 4G.

MobileSyrup reports that the 7-inch LTE tablet will continue to sell at its current price until Bell’s stock completely depletes.

BlackBerry PlayBook 4G arrived at Bell more than six months ago, but sales have been a bit disappointing for RIM. The slate has been discounted several times, but the Canadian company still has some units in stock.

With that out of the way, Bell hopes to make room for RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry 10 devices, which are expected to hit shelves next month.

RIM is expected to launch at least one BlackBerry 10 smartphone at the end of the month, the Z10. However, a second device might be announced as well, the X10, which will probably be released a bit later.
